EVEN a seasoned veteran like Kim Fajardo isn't spared from the daunting task of grappling her way to a new environment in a new team — more so after almost a decade with the now-defunct F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
While Fajardo did admit to feeling much of the nerves in her first few training sessions with PLDT, even alongside fellow ex-F2 aces Majoy Baron and a still-to-recover Kianna Dy, she shared in a chat with SPIN.ph how she's slowly easing into a more comfortable state with her 'no bad vibes' squad.

"First time na training, honestly kinakabahan talaga ko kasi first time ko sa ibang system, sa ibang coach, ibang teammates. ‘Yun ‘yung pinaka-kinakatakutan ko before kasi nasanay na ako dun sa every day ng buhay ko, ng training, iisa lang ‘yung kasama ko," Fajardo said.
"Nu’ng una talaga, kabang-kaba ako kung paano ba ako mag-aadjust sa ganitong system, paano ba ako sa ibang sistema at sa ibang teammates," she added.

As she overcomes the hurdle of fitting into the biggest change of her volleyball career to date, Fajardo has now begun finding reasons to fall in love with such a 'joyful' environment in her 'getting to know' stage with the High Speed Hitters.
"Siguro pinaka nag-eenjoy ako, ‘yung parang nandun pa rin ako sa situation na ‘getting to know’ din pero nag-eenjoy ako dun kasi nakakatuwa pala. Nakakatuwa sila kasama tapos ‘yung mga ugali nila, walang bad vibes. As in masaya silang kasama — masaya sa training kasi ganun ‘yung ugali nila. ‘Yung vibes sa training masaya talaga," said Fajardo.
Championship-caliber reunion, soon
Among the sought-after subplots of the ex-F2 trio's move to PLDT is the mini-reunion of the De La Salle Lady Spikers' title-winning team back in UAAP Season 78.
Although it won't be a complete one for the time being as Dy and PLDT mainstay Mika Reyes continue to recover from their respective injuries, Fajardo remains nonetheless thrilled and keen to share the same side of the court with her co-collegiate champions.
"Ngayon na-eexcite pa rin ako kasi unang-una sige, hindi pa siya (Mika Reyes) ready eh. Nasa recovery stage pa rin siya pero excited pa rin ako talaga kahit na ibang team, ibang coach, tapos kasama ko pa rin sila kaya nakaka-excite."
