BANKO got back on the winning track, scoring a 26-24, 32-30, 26-24 victory over lowly Motolite on Wednesday in the PVL Reinforced Conference at the Arena in San Juan.
Kia Bright led the way anew for BanKo as it bounced back from a three-set loss to Creamline, improving its win-loss record to 2-2 for fourth place.
Petro Gazz leads with a 4-0 record, while Creamline and Pacifictown-Army share second at 3-1. Motolite shares the bottom with Balipure.
Bright had 20 points off 19 attacks, while making 15 excellent receptions and 13 digs.
Turkish import Yasemin Yildrim and Kathy Bersola had 11 points each, while skipper Nicole Tiamzon added 10 markers, while making 12 excellent receptions and 11 digs.
“Siguro nakukuha na ulit namin ang tempo ng team. More on mag-enjoy sana kami, which is nagawa namin kanina and yung kapit especially sa second set,” Tiamzon said. “Ang tagal na rin namin na hindi napupunta sa pressure game.”
Motolite remained winless in three matches even as it brought in Krystle Esdelle to replace Edina Selimovic, who suffered a bruised knee cap in the opening match.
Isa Molde scored 16 points, Esdelle scored 12, while Channon Thompson added 10 markers and 10 excellent receptions.
Motolite will play Creamline on Saturday and BaliPure on Sunday.
