Kat Tolentino saved the day anew for Ateneo-Motolite with back-to-back blocks to seal the win.
“We have to avoid this kind of scenarios, siguro this is a learning experience pa rin for us,” said coach Oliver Almadro as the Lady Eagles survived a slow start.

Kat Tolentino scored 16, including the match’s last two points, skipper Bea de Leon added 15 and Maddie Madayag had 12 for the Lady Eagles, who improved to 5-1.

“Kailangan namin ma-manage namin ang expectations pa rin sa isa’t-isa,” he added. “Sometimes I have to tell them na we really have to take a risk for something, for me high risk high rewards.”
The Fighting Warays went on a 6-4 run to make it 11-13, before Tolentino saved the day anew for Ateneo with back-to-back blocks to seal the win.
Dimdim Pacres led the way for Tacloban with 18 points, Heather Guino-o added 15, Mary Anne Esguerra chipped in 14 and team captain Jovielyn Prado had 10 points.
The Fighting Warays slid to 2-4.
