JOVY Prado is doubtful for PLDT’s fight for the last Pool A semis ticket against Chery Tiggo in the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference on Tuesday.
Prado hurt her knee following an awkward landing in a straight-sets loss to Creamline on Thursday.
PLDT will face Chery Tiggo for the last semis ticket in Pool A on Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena.

“[Left] knee injury ‘yung kay Jovy [Prado] eh. Wala pang final assessment pero sa lagay niya ngayon, for sure ‘yung Tuesday medyo malabo na,” said PLDT coach Rald Ricafort.
“Sa Monday pa namin malalaman ‘yung final [status],” she added.
Kath Arado hopes the High Speed Hitters can continue the solid play without Prado.
“Tuwang-tuwa kami kasi hindi naman kami napanghinaan ng loob kahit ‘yung nangyari nung last game. Motivated pa rin ‘yung mga players, lalo na ako, after nung nangyari kay ate Jovy,” Arado said.
“Grabe kasi ‘yung motivation ni ate [Jovy] kahit nasa labas siya. Gina-guide niya pa rin ako, gina-guide niya ‘yung bawat isa kaya parang hindi siya nawawala sa loob ng court,” she added.
Ricafort was proud of how the High Speed Hitters coped with Prado’s absence as Fiola Ceballos stepped up big time to lead the team in scoring against the Defenders.
“Proud kami sa hugot namin, si Fiola [Ceballos], kasi mabigat sa’min ‘yung pagkawala ni Jovy. Hindi lang sa skills niya [kasi siya] ‘yung leader na inasahan namin from the start,” Ricafort bared.
“Mabigat ‘yung nawala siya [Jovy Prado] pero buti nagampanan ni Fiola, knowing na si Meann [Mendrez] ay hindi pa 100 percent,” he added,. Mendrez recently returned from a knee injury.
