NOT only will Jia Morado De Guzman orchestrate Creamline's offense in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference, but she is now set to take over as the club's lead maestro in the meantime.

As Alyssa Valdez recovers from an injury in her right knee, the league's seven-time best setter will assume the captaincy for the Cool Smashers early in the 2023 PVL season starting on Feb. 4.

Team leadership duties are nothing new to De Guzman in both college and professional ranks.

Jia was Ateneo team captain in UAAP Season 79 and deputy leader in Creamline's stint as the de facto national team at the 2022 AVC Cup for Women, replacing dengue-stricken Valdez.
