THERE’S a new Highriser in town.
Jho Maraguinot made a late surprise exit from Nxled to join Galeries Tower ahead of its second outing in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Thursday.
The Highrisers made a straightforward reveal of its newest signing through a short and simple announcement video.

Ateneo’s ‘Eagle Claw’ will join her fifth PVL team over a three-year period.

She made her league debut with defunct Perlas Spikers before heading to champion club Balipure.
Maraguinot would enter the Akari stable in 2022 and play for the Chargers.

Limited minutes with Akari sent her over to its sister team Nxled where she’d spend nearly a year alongside her sister and lead playmaker Jaja.
With a young and on-the-rise squad at its disposal, Maraguinot will slot into a more competitive Highrisers side bringing years of experience as a champion-caliber player from the college ranks.
Galeries Tower fell short in its season-opener to Maraguinot’s former club Akari in four sets, 30-28, 15-25, 16-25, 23-25.

Such a huge boost to its frontline might just be the missing piece to head coach Lerma Giron’s puzzle in the league’s longest conference yet.
Maraguinot’s Galeries Tower debut may come as soon as in less than a day’s time against Choco Mucho, 4 p.m. at the Filoil Ecooil Centre.
