JHO Maraguinot is the latest veteran name to call time on her volleyball career.
The former Ateneo winger confirmed her retirement from professional volleyball on Tuesday, adding to a recent wave of retirements in Philippine volleyball that has also seen Aby Maraño and Maika Ortiz step away from the sport.
Maraguinot made the announcement in her guesting on the 'Net Flicks' podcast, revealing that she had already considered herself retired since last year and had spent the past year coming to terms with the decision.

Her retirement closes a professional career that took her through five PVL clubs, starting with Perlas, BaliPure, Akari, Nxled an Galeries Tower.
She started with Perlas in 2021 before joining BaliPure in 2022, then became one of the first players to sign with Akari when the Chargers entered the PVL.
Maraguinot later moved to Nxled before making her final transfer to Galeries Tower in 2024.
The frequent moves became a defining part of the latter stage of her career. Her first two clubs eventually left the PVL, while her succeeding stops came amid continued roster changes across the league.
It was a different path from the one she built at Ateneo, where Maraguinot emerged as one of the Lady Eagles' key attackers and was part of the program's championship era alongside Alyssa Valdez and Bea de Leon.
She also represented the Philippines at the 2015 Asian Women's U23 Championship.
At 30, Maraguinot leaves the game with Galeries Tower as her final club, joining a growing list of established players who have recently closed the book on their playing careers.
Her next chapter, however, will still revolve around volleyball. Maraguinot plans to launch her own podcast, where she can look back on her career and revisit the experiences that shaped her journey from Katipunan to the PVL.
