COLLEGE of St. Benilde coach Jerry Yee wants to make the most of the team's stint in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference as the Lady Blazers gear up for the NCAA Season 94 women’s volleyball tournament.
CSB is down to its last game in the preliminaries, but Yee wants his team to go all out not only for the last Final Four spot but also to gain exposure for the NCAA.
“I don’t know how they look at this league pero sa amin important ‘yung mga kailangan namin matutunan dito,” he said.
“Important ‘yung mga lumalabas (na laro namin) pagka nakaharap ‘yung camera kahit pa livestream lang ‘yan dito sa venue or nandyan ‘yung audience, important sa amin ‘yun,” he added.
CSB improved to a 2-4 win-loss record for the No. 5 spot after it defeated San Sebastian College, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12, 25-17, on Sunday.
The Taft-based squad will face University of Perpetual Help (1-4) on Saturday and a loss by University of the Philippines (3-3) to San Beda University (1-4) can force a three-way tie.
“Pinaghahandaan din namin ‘yun, syempre kailangan makuha namin ‘yun,” said Yee.
