BRINGING national team experience back into the PVL has its pros and cons.
Just ask Chery Tiggo and Alas Pilipinas libero Jen Nierva.
Beyond their newly-gained international exposure, there’s an added responsibility and challenge they all have to deal with - with Nierva feeling as if they have to prove their worth a bit more in their return to the pros.

“I wouldn't say na it's easier. I think I would say mas nag-iba 'yung perspective 'pag naglalaro,” Nierva said.
“Being part of Alas, we have that pride of now that we're back playing sa PVL, I think we have to show kung ano 'yung na-gain namin from our Alas stint and to prove that we're doing something good also.
“Iba rin siguro 'yung pride na meron ka when you played internationally and now playing locally.”
As far as the Crossovers are concerned, Nierva looks to carry her newly-acquired leadership skills to her title-contending squad.
“I think yung leadership talaga na meron inside the court. Sabi ko nga, 'yung team namin it's composed of a lot of talented athletes, players," she stated.
“Someone has just to consistently be a leader inside and ignite 'yung power and capabilities na meron kami.”
Nierva hopes to still be that figure as Chery Tiggo inches closer to a third PVL Finals appearance.
