Jema Galanza experienced a particularly special day as she celebrated her 27th birthday, marked by Creamline's ninth consecutive victory in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference against playoff-bound Chery Tiggo.
Galanza, earning Player of the Game honors with a game-high 16 points, can now consider one of her birthday wishes fulfilled. As she continues her journey, a seventh PVL title for the Cool Smashers remains on her wishlist.

"(Wish ko) ‘yung manalo ngayong araw (versus Chery Tiggo) and siyempre ‘yung championship and siguro ‘yung healthy lahat ng teams.
"Matatapos ‘tong (conference) na healthy kami, na happy kami, and nakuha namin ‘yung goal namin," Galanza said.
With a semifinals ticket already booked, the 2019 PVL Open Conference MVP is gunning for a perfect 11-0 finish to the elimination round.
Games against Akari and Galeries Tower will afford Galanza’s teammates more playing time on the court.
"Siyempre gusto rin naming matapos ‘yung elimination round ng panalo lahat. Sa mga darating pa naming games, pag-aaralan namin kung paano kami gumalaw sa court. Kung pwede pang may maglalaro pa na ibang teammates ko, bakit hindi ‘di ba?” she asked.
"Mas maganda rin na lahat talaga nakakapag-prepare kasi medyo mabigat talaga ‘tong semis na ‘to and for sure, talagang lahat gusto makapasok sa finals. Kaya ayun, magandang preparation sa’min ‘to."
