Jem Gutierrez, a bench player in the Reinforced Conference, proved her worth in her first start by scoring 22 points while playing the entire gam for the Lady Troopers.
Honey Royse Tubino added 19 points, Jovelyn Gonzaga and Lutgarda Malaluan had eight markers each while Angela Nunag had 15 digs and 10 excellent receptions.
Momentum sila tapos first time kami na lalaro ng all-Filipino,” said Pacifictown-Army coach Kungfu Reyes.
The Lady Troopers endured 32 errors in the match that allowed the Perlas Spikers to force another set. But they regained top form in the fourth frame as Gutierrez and Tubino closed out the match.
Nicole Tiamzon led the Perlas Spikers with 21 points. Dzi Gervacio delivered 13 points including 15 digs and 11 excellent receptions for Banko, which dropped to 1-1 after an opening win over Petro Gazz.
