AFTER Myla Pablo, Jeanette Panaga has also left Pocari Sweat to join Petro Gazz for its campaign in the Premier Volleyball League in 2019.
It was last week when Pablo announced her move to Motolite and on Friday, Panaga followed suit after she received her release from her former club.
The three-time PVL best blocker, who joined the Lady Warriors last year, said in a statement released by her agency Virtual Playground that it was with a heavy heart that she decided to leave.
“Sobrang hirap po na decision kasi po halos lahat naman ng teams sobrang laki po ‘yung dedication nila to help the volleyball industry grow,” said Panaga.
“Kaya po ‘yung investment nila for the development of the sport, talaga naman pong makakatulong sa aming mga players," she added.
Panaga will beef up Petro Gazz, which failed to make it to the finals in the recently concluded PVL Open Conference.
She will be reunited with her former College of St. Benilde teammates Djanel Cheng, Ranya Musa and Rachel Austero after steering the Lady Blazers to their first NCAA women’s volleyball title in 2015 and former Pocari Sweat teammate Cai Nepomuceno-Baloaloa.
"Malaking factor din po kasi na buo na ang team, nandoon na po ‘yung spirit nila so hindi po ako mahihirapan mag adjust,” she said.
“Plus majority po ng players ay mga teammates ko sa Benilde at mga dating taga Pocari kaya po may relationship na din talaga, parang reunion na din namin," she added.
Panaga will join the Petro Gazz as they gear up for PVL 2019 Season by January.
