SAN Beda College defeated NCAA champion College of St. Benilde, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20, on Saturday in the Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Guest player and former SBC top hitter Janine Marciano scored 16 points on 11 attacks, one block and four service aces, while Francesca Racraquin scored 14.
The Lady Red Spikers scored their only win in the tournament after losing to University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas and Far Eastern University.
Jeanette Panaga scored 10 points for St. Benilde, which went winless in the tournament.
