BALI Pure edged Laoag, 25-27, 25-22, 25-23, 25-19, on Saturday to complete a sweep of the battle for third place in the Shakey's V-League Season 13 Open Conference at PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Newly-minted MVP Gretchel Soltones was at the forefront of Bali Pure's attack, scoring 18 points.
Amy Ahomiro scored 15 points and Janine Marciano added 12.
But it was Jem Ferrer who sealed the match on Saturday with a service ace, sending the team into a frenzy as they blanked Laoag in the best-of-three series.
"I'm very proud of the girls. I’m happy with their performance because a lot of them stepped up," said Bali Pure playing coach Charo Soriano.
Laoag showed promise in the opening frame, but simply had no answer to Bali Pure's attack in the succeeding sets.
Katherin Villegas led Laoag with 16 points, while Jessica Galanza added 12.
