COLLEGE of St. Benilde kept its semifinal hopes in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference alive, beating San Sebastian College, 25-16, 23-25, 25-12, 25-17, on Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.

Jan Dagul had 15 points for the Lady Blazers, who improved to 2-4 at the No. 5 spot.

CSB needs to win its final elimination round match against Perpetual Help, and its semifinal chances will still depend on the outcome of the match between University of the Philippines (3-3) and San Beda University (1-4).

“I don’t know lang the format kung papaano ba, kung knock out ba ‘yun or ano, so not really sure. So hoping hoping lang tayo,” said CSB coach Jerry Yee.

Chelsea Umali chipped in 13 markers for the Lady Blazers, while Klarisa Ibriam and Marites Pablo chipped in 12 points apiece.

Mary Rhose Dapol made 15 points for SSC, while skipper Joyce Sta. Rita had 11. Also ran Recto-based squad remained winless in six outings.
