JAJA Santiago led the way as National University whipped University of Batangas, 25-16, 25-14, 25-19, on Sunday in the V-League Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
The 6-foot-4 Santiago scored 23 points on 15 spikes, three blocks and five service aces, while sister and NU guest player Dindin Santiago-Manabat added 13 points.
NU came up with 43 spikes against 16 of UB and hit 10 service aces compared to just one by the Brahmans.
The Lady Bulldogs, now with a 2-0 win-loss card, also had 23 excellent sets, while their victims only had one in the match that lasted an hour and nine minutes.
“Lagi namin instructions maglaro lang sila, ilabas nila ang pinag-eensayuhan namin,” said NU assistant coach Edjet Mabbayad.
“Hindi pwedeng magkumpyansa, lagi naming sinasabi sa kanila na kahit sinong team ang kalaban dapat 100 percent kasi maling attitude sa player ang mag kumpyansa,” he added.
Krissa Madalogdog scored six points for UB, winless in two matches and tied at the bottom with Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
