THE Eya Laure sweepstakes has begun in earnest following her expected exit from Chery Tiggo.

Since news of her imminent departure first broke a week ago, more than a few PVL suitors have emerged.
Multiple teams have surfaced on social media talks as prospective destinations for the star spiker, including the Capital1 Solar Spikers.
Final piece of the puzzle?
Arguably the breakout team of the 2024 PVL season, the t10-month-old club made waves in the Reinforced Conference after its surprise playoff run.
Capital1 racked up five wins in pool play and lost a five-set quarterfinals thriller to Cignal by the skin of its teeth.

That match, however, will long be immortalized in the annals of Philippine volleyball as it saw Capital1’s Russian import Marina Tushova break the PVL’s single-game scoring record for a third time with 50 points.
With a six-month-long All-Filipino Conference set to break ground in a few weeks’ time, is a multi-awarded Alas Pilipinas attacker the final piece of the Solar Spikers’ puzzle?
“No comment muna on that,” Capital1 co-owner Mandy Romero told SPIN.ph.
“[But] of course, we’ll talk more about this season soon.”
No easy crossover
As per multiple sources, Laure’s exit from Chery Tiggo won’t be a cakewalk in the slightest.

A contract buyout must first be sorted and agreed upon by the Crossovers and her eventual new team before a transfer can take place.
And for all parties involved, time is winding down should the goal be to have Laure onboard in time for the next conference.
Whether it’ll still be with the Crossovers, a different shade of red, or a new color altogether, Laure’s fate will soon be known when the new PVL season begins in early November.
