THE impasse didn’t last long.
All imports and Fil-foreign players have now been cleared to play in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference.
At 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) finally gave the go signal, providing the final signature needed to activate the international transfer certificates (ITC) for all reinforcements.

Although a day late, the PVL was obliged to wait for the PNVF to sign the ITCs even if it meant going all-Filipino in the conference-opener.

Had the first four imports from Akari, ZUS Coffee, Capital1, and Choco Mucho played in Tuesday’s opener in Montalban, they would’ve risked receiving a hefy fine of roughly P720,000 and a year-long suspension from international volleyball.
The same predicament applies to the Flying Titans' Fil-foreign rookie setter Tia Andaya in the midst of her ongoing federation shift request with the FIVB.
As early as Thursday, it’s all systems go for the reinforcements of Galeries Tower, Petro Gazz, Farm Fresh, and Nxled to see action as import-laden play resumes at the City of Dasmariñas Arena in Cavite.
(Volleyb)all is well?
However, the newly-inflicted wounds of a brief yet disruptive impasse will leave permanent scars not only on the PVL, but to the sport altogether.
As the league underscored in its strongly-worded statement on Tuesday, “the standoff has once again highlighted a deepening rift between the sport’s governing body and its most successful professsional league – a clash that continues to divide volleyball fans and threatens to derail the sport’s momentum in the Philippines.”
