IMEE Hernandez has become the sixth former Chery Tiggo player to secure a new PVL home following the Crossovers’ disbandment.

The 5-foot-10 middle blocker has joined the Strong Group Athletics (SGA) stable for the 2026 season, pushing the group’s offseason acquisitions to eight in what has been an aggressive roster build.

Hernandez is set to be assigned to either Farm Fresh or ZUS Coffee, joining fellow ex-Crossovers Cess Robles, Karen Verdeflor and Renee Penafiel under the SGA umbrella.

Other former Chery Tiggo standouts have also begun to scatter across the league, with setter Alina Bicar moving to Choco Mucho and Hernandez’s co-middle-blocker Seth Rodriguez signing for two-time champion PLDT.

Hernandez’s move adds to an SGA haul that already includes a mix of proven veterans and experienced role players.

Alongside her Chery Tiggo cohorts, the group has also secured former Petro Gazz stalwarts Remy Palma and Chie Saet, as well as ex-Choco Mucho standouts Royse Tubino and Bia General.

The 25-year-old turned pro in the 2023 PVL Invitational Conference with Chery Tiggo, entering the league alongside fellow University of Santo Tomas product Eya Laure, who is now headed to Choco Mucho.

However, Hernandez’s two-year stint with the Crossovers was largely derailed by injury.

During her rookie year, she suffered a left knee injury following an awkward fall in a match against Nxled, sidelining her for an extended period.

It took nearly 20 months before she was able to return to game action during the 2025 PVL on Tour preseason tournament, which ultimately became one of her final appearances before Chery Tiggo’s surprise dissolution.

Now healthy and eager to reclaim lost time, Hernandez will look to reset her career either in Farm Fresh orange or ZUS Coffee blue when the 2026 All-Filipino Conference gets underway later this month.
