PETRO Gazz’ presence was hard to miss during Nxled’s 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference debut.
The former champions’ logo was prominently displayed on Nxled’s new uniforms, positioned front and center between the Chameleons’ crest and the jersey number.
A smaller Petro Gazz mark was also visible at the back of the kits, signaling more than just a cosmetic design choice.

With 11 former Angels now suiting up for Nxled, the added branding felt like a nod to the championship pedigree that migrated with the team’s new core.
That group is led by Brooke Van Sickle, Myla Pablo, MJ Phillips, Jonah Sabete-Escamillan, Ranya Musa, Djanel Cheng, Jules Tolentino, Jellie Tempiatura and Bang Pineda, all of whom saw action in Nxled’s opening five-set win over Farm Fresh.
Nicole Tiamzon and AA Adolfo, meanwhile, remained sidelined in street clothes for the season opener.
The obvious question was whether the Petro Gazz logo was a one-game tribute or a long-term fixture.
SPIN.ph learned that the Petro Gazz branding will stay on Nxled’s jerseys for the rest of the All-Filipino Conference.
Despite the collapse of a proposed merger between the two franchises, owned by the closely linked Villavicencio and Tiu families, Petro Gazz has reaffirmed its commitment to the league by coming on board as one of Nxled’s lead sponsors.
Sources added that before merger talks fell apart, there were even discussions about Petro Gazz coming in as a title sponsor, rather than the team competing strictly under the Nxled banner.
Looking ahead, plans are already in place to further expand the Nxled–Petro Gazz partnership within the PVL, with the collaboration expected to go beyond just player personnel and team staff as the season progresses.
