GALERIES Tower pulled off a four-set statement win over erstwhile unbeaten Nxled, 25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
Roselle Baliton towered for the Highrisers with 16 points, coming from seven attacks, seven blocks, and two aces, helping her side improve to a 2-2 record, while also sending the Chameleons to 3-1.
“Sobrang nakakataba ng puso kasi ang dami na pinagdaanan ng team, and start din ito na magkaroon ng winning culture yung team,” Baliton said.

The Baliton-Jean Asis tandem in the middle sparked Galeries’ hot start in the earlygoing, combining for four blocks and 14 attacks to secure the first set.
Reigning MVP Brooke Van Sickle and the rest of Nxled regained momentum in the second frame, turning the tables to even the match.
The third set was another neck-and-neck affair, but Asis guided the Highrisers in a late-game pullaway, finishing the set with a quick attack.
Baliton then went on to seal her best outing in the pros yet with crucial denials of Van Sickle’s last-gasp comeback attempts to avoid extending the match into a fifth frame.

Erika Deloria also registered 16 points, while Gayle Pascual and Asis contributed 13 and 12 markers, respectively.
“May high morale at high spirit sa team namin ngayon. Pero siyempre, hindi pa rin basta-basta magpapabaya,” head coach Charles Esteban said.
BVS paced the Chameleons with 21 points, backed by Chiara Permentilla’s 16.
