BELLA Belen came out first among 29 players selected in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft on Sunday at the Novotel Manila Araneta City in Cubao, Quezon City.
Upon completing her Alas Pilipinas duties, Belen will begin the next chapter of her already-decorated career as a pro player and as a Solar Spiker in the PVL.

The three-time UAAP MVP was once at a crossroads on whether she’ll follow her champion National U teammate Alyssa Solomon’s unorthodox path in foregoing the PVL Draft to try her luck abroad.
In the end, Belen left the overseas route for Solomon to take as she ultimately decided to stay put in the Philippines and pursue the early goings of her pro career on home soil.
This year’s draftees picked in four rounds from 57 hopefuls were six more than in the inaugural edition last year, which saw 23 out of 47 aspirants picked across four drafting rounds.
The 28 undrafted aspirants are set to enter free agency and will all be under consideration to secure last-minute contract offers from any of the 12 teams.
