Judith Abil and AJ Jingco, who previously played for Nxled and now-defunct Gerflor, were part of the PVL free agency pool prior to securing roster spots with Cignal.

The HD Spikers made their double player signings official on Monday evening, making it three new local additions alongside the No. 7 overall pick in the PVL Draft in Adamson spiker Ishie Lalongisip.
"If you want it sweet, AJ’s got that sugar on lock. If you want that spice, Judith can turn the heat up. Introducing the newest members of Team Awesome, libero Judith Abil and service and defense specialist AJ Jingco," the club wrote.
In their second crack at the PVL, the two former outside hitters will take on defensive roles for Cignal in the temporary absence of Alas Pilipinas libero Dawn Macandili-Catindig.

Undrafted Bakabak lands roster spot with Akari
She might not have heard her name called among 23 other drafted prospects in the inaugural PVL Draft, but sooner than later, Ysabela Bakabak found herself a home in the pros.
Bakabak, a 5-foot-10 middle blocker from La Salle, became the latest addition to a retooled Akari squad and will play side-by-side with the likes of Ced Domingo and Ezra Madrigal in manning their net defense.
This also comes in the expected absence of another Alas ace in Fifi Sharma.
"Ysa para sa Akari! We are solidifying our frontline with the addition of a middle blocker from De La Salle University, Ysabela Bakabak. All she needs is a chance, and we're glad to help her prove that she belongs. Welcome to Chargers Ground, Ysa! Let's power up," the club announced Monday.
Another undrafted free agent bound the Chargers' way is Cathrine Almazan, a 5-foot-5 outside hitter from Emilio Aguinaldo College.
Almazan joins four drafted NCAA hotshots to complete a quintet of talents from the country's oldest collegiate league to enter the pros.
"A Lady General reporting for duty. Welcome to the Akari Chargers, Cathrine Almazan! A lethal scorer from Emilio Aguinaldo College, she's another scoring option from the outside position. Spread your wings, Cath! Let’s get it!"
