SAVI Davison wore the biggest smile in the post-game press conference even if the medal set to hang around her neck was not the one PLDT had originally wanted.

The High Speed Hitters may have failed to defend their PVL Invitational crown, but Davison treated their bronze-medal finish like a championship after PLDT took down Creamline in four sets on Tuesday.

She was all smiles from the moment the final point dropped, perhaps even happier than she was last Sunday when she uncorked a new career high against the same Cool Smashers.

For Davison, the ending mattered more than the color of the medal.

"I don't know about you guys, but this feels like we won. I'm just super happy that we're done and we finished with a win. Everyone's healthy and everyone's happy, so we're blessed,” Davison said.

It was a hard-fought campaign for PLDT, one that ultimately ended with the team walking away injury-free and with a medal to show for it.

And that was enough to send Davison over the moon.

"I'm just so happy we won. I am just over the moon, like I can't stop smiling. I know that for us, I think we were able to do our best given our circumstances, given the places and what we were handed,” she said.

Davison did her part one more time in the bronze-medal match, putting up 29 points, 15 digs, and 13 receptions in another triple-double performance.

But the numbers were beside the point for the prolific scorer, who was already being touted for a second straight PVL Invitational MVP nod after her successive triple-double games and high-scoring efforts.

PLDT had finished with a win and injury-free. And after a tournament full of battles, the High Speed Hitters had something to take home.

"I don't really like to talk numbers much, but for as long as I can help in some capacity, I'm happy with that."
