A new era is brewing at ZUS Coffee with the addition of veteran spiker Fiola Ceballos.
Just a day after signing ace libero Alyssa Eroa, the Thunderbelles turned their focus to fortifying their young scoring front.

Ceballos, 30, left the High Speed Hitters after spending three years with the club and became the team’s second winger departure in the current offseason after Cignal-bound Erika Santos.

The Ilongga winger averaged 7.09 points (78 points) in the preliminary round of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, her eventual final act in the league with PLDT.
She also yielded a 22.99 success rate in spiking as PLDT landed a top five finish for the fourth time in the last five PVL conferences.
Before parting ways, Ceballos saw limited action in the High Speed Hitters’ sixth-place run in the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League.
Stronger scoring brew
The outside spiker role isn’t necessarily one where the Thunderbelles have a deficit in.

In fact, Ceballos will be the sixth outside spiker and 10th overall attacker including opposite hitters in the team’s 18-strong roster.
The ex-PLDT ace will be the second oldest spiker in the team after 33-year-old Jovelyn Gonzaga.
Among other openers at ZUS Coffee head coach Jerry Yee’s disposal are Chinnie Arroyo, Kate Santiago, Chai Troncoso, Jade Gentapa, Dolly Verzosa and Ypril Tapia.

As far as utility hitters go, they have the likes of Gonzaga, Gayle Pascual and Danivah Aying on hand.
The 2025 PVL season will resume in the final quarter of the year after the country’s hosting of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship from Sep. 12 to 28.
