THAT’S three PLDT High Speed Hitters out the door in over a week as veteran spiker Fiola Ceballos has left the club after three years.

Following second-leading local scorer Erika Santos’ departure, Ceballos’ exit means that PLDT has now lost two of its top three attacking weapons behind Fil-Canadian hotshot Savi Davison.

“One thing we were able to count on over the years was the stable passing you delivered whenever you were inside the court. That is comfort we will miss,” the club wrote on Tuesday.
“Thank you for being a PLDT High Speed Hitter, Fiola! May you grow even more where you are planted next.”
The 30-year-old Ilongga winger normed 7.09 points (78 points) in the preliminary round of the recently-concluded 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.

She also had a 22.99 spiking success rate in PLDT’s fifth-place run — its fourth in the last five conferences.
Her last tour of duty with PLDT was back in the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League where it landed a top six placement in its first-ever international competition as a club.
Austero also parts ways with PLDT
Apart from two key losses on offense in Ceballos and Santos, the High Speed Hitters have parted ways with mainstay middle blocker Rachel Austero.
Having joined late in the 2022 PVL season, two conferences after Ceballos’ arrival, the 27-year-old defender has seen limited action and remained a fixture on the sidelines instead.

The next destinations of the ex-PLDT trio are still unknown.
But for the club, the offseason will be spent on replenishing its now-depleted core through free agent signings and the oncoming 2025 PVL Draft in June where PLDT will pick ninth overall in the first round.
