FORMER Ateneo Lady Eagles star Fille Cainglet-Cayetano is the latest addition to the powerhouse lineup of two-time Shakey's V-League champion Pocari Sweat.
Team manager Eric Ty confirmed on Wednesday that the 25-year old spiker will join Pocari Sweat once she returns to action after giving birth to her second child, Fille Renee, last August 8.
“I am very happy and I'm looking forward to welcoming Fille to our family,” said Ty.
Cainglet will be joining a team that is coming off a championship with a lineup led by former La Salle star Michelle Gumabao, once a Cainglet rival during their days in the UAAP.
No contract has been signed although an agreement has already been reached, a source told SPIN.ph.
Ty said he expects Cainglet to sign a contract to formalize the move 'in the next few days.'
Cainglet led Ateneo to two finals appearances in Season 74 and 75 of the UAAP. She was also named Most Improved Player after she led the Lady Eagles in the SVL Season 8 First Conference in 2011.
She also has two titles for Petron in the Philippine Super Liga in the 2014 Grand Prix and the 2015 All-Filipino, where the team completed a rare 13-0 sweep.
Cainglet took a leave of absence after Petron’s 2015 PSL Grand Prix runner-up finish to Foton.
