FIFI Sharma is eager to build a formidable defensive wall with soon-to-be Akari Charger Ced Domingo, her one-time college idol who is joining the team for the coming Premier Volleball League (PVL) season.
Domingo was a standout in the UAAP and also at Creamline where she once starred and won Finals MVP before being recruited by a Thai professional team.
Sharma's source of inspiration
Sharma is excited to share the court with Domingo, whose style of play was one she tried to emulate.
“Really excited. Super kasi nu’ng I was playing in the UAAP, I used her (Ced Domingo) as reference, as inspiration din kasi like she’s one of the best middle blockers in the PVL,” said Sharma.

“Talagang I always watched her highlights to get tips and her techniques kasi medyo same height kami, so I can incorporate her techniques na ginagamit niya para sa’kin din. I’m so excited kasi I get to work alongside her this conference,” she added.
Weeks before Domingo's expected to return to the Philippines from Thailand, Sharma has reached out to Domingo to welcome her ahead of their star-studded partnership.
“Nagkausap kami kasi ‘yun nga, nalaman ko na she was going to Akari so minessage ko siya and sabi ko ‘Ate (Ced), see you soon’ tapos nag-‘see you soon’ din siya,” said Sharma.
