FAR Eastern University stakes its unblemished record as it takes on defending champion National University on Wednesday in the round-robin quarterfinals of the V-League Collegiate Conference at the Philsports Arena.

The Lady Tamaraws were the only ones to survive the first round robin unscathed and look to stretch the winning streak to five when they battle the Lady Bulldogs, who have already played one match in the quarterfinals, downing shorthanded University of Sto. Tomas.

The match starts at 6 p.m. after the showdown between San Sebastian and UST at 4 o’clock.

It will be the first match for the San Sebastian squad in the quarterfinals, while the Tigresses will try to bounce back after the straight-sets loss to NU.

With Grethcel Soltones, the league’s leading scorer with a 76-hit total after the elims, San Sebastian is heavily favored against a UST squad missing EJ Laure and Cherry Rondina, who are with Super Liga club Foton in Thailand preparing for the Asian Club Women's Championship set September 3 to 11.

UST will rely on guest players Ejiya Laure and Ma. Agatha Mangulabnan.

Meanwhile, La Salle (2-1) tries to boost its semis bid in Spikers’ Turf as it takes on winless Philippine Merchant Marine School. National College of Business and Arts faces Emilio Aguinaldo College at 12 p.m. in a battle of winless teams.
