COACH George Pascua refused to mention any name, but is confident a new star will rise as the FEU Lady Tamaraws begin life without top hitter Bernadeth Pons.
Pascua has yet to reveal his lineup for the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference, part of the Lady Tamaraws’ preparation for the UAAP.
The PVL Collegiate starts on Saturday at The Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Tamaraws finished runner-up to La Salle in the UAAP Season 80 women’s volleyball tournament, but will be without Pons, who has graduated.
“Paghahandaan namin ‘yun kasi ‘yun na ‘yun pre-tournament namin. (So) before UAAP ready na kami for that,” said Pascua
“Ready naman kami, may pamalit tayo diyan,” said Pascua.
FEU will play against College of St. Benilde at 4 p.m. after the match between Adamson University and University of Perpetual Help.
Also seeing action in the PVL Collegiate Conference are National University, San Beda, San Sebastian College, University of the Philippines and University of Santo Tomas.
