Farm Fresh is winless no more in the 2025 PVL on Tour at Choco Mucho’s expense, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 26-24, on Saturday to open the preseason’s Northern leg in Isabela.
Former Flying Titan Caitlin Viray fired two clutch attacks before Trisha Tubu put the match away in a nip-and-tuck four-set contest.
This becomes Farm Fresh’s first franchise win over Choco Mucho since the club’s inception in 2023.
Farm Fresh gives Lodi first win
Over a week ago, Farm Fresh got swept in its preseason opener by PLDT as Italian head coach Alessandro Lodi was handed a losing PVL debut.
This also marks their first PVL victory since January when it beat Galeries Tower in four sets in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
"As I always tell to my team, a win is not a definitive thing, just like a loss. If we played this team again right now, maybe they would win or tomorrow maybe we would win, so it's important to take every moment as it is," Lodi said.
"It's a good performance. We're growing, we're learning a lot, but we know we have a long way to go and so every step of the process is important and not because we won."
Tubu manned the Foxies' breakthrough upset win with 22 points on 16 attacks, three blocks and three aces.
Meanwhile, the undermanned Flying Titans have now absorbed two losses to the league's usual cellar-dwellers Nxled and Farm Fresh.
No. 2 overall draft pick Alohi Robins-Hardy posted 22 excellent sets and four points in the win where she was named starting setter for the first time.
A heavily-undermanned Choco Mucho side that only had 13 of a 14-maximum matchday squad leaned on mainstays Isa Molde's 13 piece and captain Des Cheng's 10-point, 13-dig double-double, albeit in defeat.
The Foxies will shoot for a winning encore against defending All-Filipino champion Petro Gazz while the Flying Titans will challenge unbeaten PLDT in a bid to end their two-game skid, both on Sunday at the same Isabela venue.
