FIVE sets have become something of a second home for Farm Fresh.
For the fourth straight match, the Foxies went the distance, this time surviving winless sister team ZUS Coffee, 25-21, 16-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-10, in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference Siklab series on Thursday at the Philsports Arena.
The win improved Farm Fresh to 3-2, alternating between wins and losses through five games.
"We had to shift kasi alam na ng ZUS kung paano kami gumalaw, paano kami umatake, kaya lalabanan namin hanggang dulo," said assistant coach Benson Bocboc.
The Foxies have now accounted for half of the eight five-setters played in the Siklab series so far. They have split their four trips to a decider, beating ZUS Coffee and Choco Mucho and losing to Akari and Nxled.
One more marathon for Farm Fresh
Just like the previous three, this one did not come without a late scare.
Farm Fresh looked set to cruise after opening a 14-6 lead in the fifth, only for the Thunderbelles to save four match points and pull within 14-10.
Ces Molina finally put down the ZUS Coffee rally, hammering home an attack that survived a ball-in, ball-out challenge for the game-winner.
Royse Tubino top-scored with 20 points, while Trisha Tubu added 17. Molina finished with 18 points, 17 receptions, and 12 digs.
For the Thunderbelles, AC Miner took flight with a conference-best 21 points, while Jolina Dela Cruz added 17 points, including four blocks. Zam Nolasco also turned in 16 points, with five coming off blocks, as they dropped to 0-5 to remain the lone winless team.
