FARM Fresh clinched the third quarterfinals berth with a four-set win over Petro Gazz, 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 28-26, in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Tuesday at the Playtime Filoil Centre.

Helene Rousseaux delivered back-to-back kills to erase the Angels' set point and seal the Foxies’ entry into the final eight.

The Belgian spiker dropped another 30-point bomb, this time with 31 points on 27 attacks, three blocks and one ace.

Ces Molina turned in a triple-double of 10 points, 19 digs, and 11 receptions, backing two-time best ipposite hitter Trisha Tubu’s 14 markers.

Spiker-turned-libero Alyssa Bertolano held the Petro Gazz power duo of Brooke Van Sickle and Lindsey Vander Weide in check with 19 digs and 11 receptions.

Foxies galloping

The Foxies have now won back-to-back matches to improve to 5-1 after their first assignment of Round 2.

This also marks their third playoff appearance in only two years as a franchise — and their second in a Reinforced Conference.

So far, five has been the magic number in the preliminaries, with fellow quarterfinalists ZUS Coffee and PLDT also securing their playoff spots upon reaching five wins.

"We were good enough and precise and tough enough to play two great sets, to go 2-0. That put us in a really good situation but we never saw that that would be the end, or that would make things easier moving forward," said Farm Fresh head coach Alessandro Lodi of a rather convincing win against the Angels.

"I was surprised, I expected them to come back and make more plays, which they did in the third and the fourth sets.

Meanwhile, Petro Gazz — a two-time Reinforced Conference champion — remains in danger of missing the next round after slipping to 3-3, tying Cignal for seventh place.

Fall from grace?

The Angels’ two-game winning run has now flipped into a two-match skid, putting their quarterfinal hopes in jeopardy.
