ALESSANDRO Lodi has parted ways with Farm Fresh after just seven months in charge, as first suggested in an earlier report from SPIN.ph shortly after their first-round playoff exit.

The 46-year-old mentor penned his parting note in an Instagram story on Thursday evening.

“An intense seven month period comes to an end and it’s time to say goodbye to the Philippines and Farm Fresh Foxies,” Lodi wrote.

“To all my beloved players, my immensely supportive staff and to all those who unconditionally supported me and us in this journey goes my heartfelt thank you.

“We did some remarkable things, we grew, we celebrated and cried together, we lived our lives to the fullest. We focused on our jobs and didn’t let anything affect our pride and confidence.”

Lodi's last call

His final act as head coach was rather bittersweet, as he led the Foxies to the top seed in the PVL Reinforced Conference for the first time in their two-year franchise history with a 7-1 record.

But that Cinderella run in the making had an abrupt end when they bowed out of the playoffs right in the first round in a stunning 26-28, 28-30, 21-25 knockout quarterfinals loss to eventual bronze medalist and No. 8 seed Akari.

Farm Fresh would end up as the first top seed in league history to be eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Lodi, meanwhile, won't be leaving with any regret after what was nonetheless a stellar run.

"The 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference showed a team that fought, overcame obstacles, and left an undeniable positive impression," he said. "You did good, Foxies. You did good."

For the young Foxies , this marks the fourth time they'll be seeking a change in leadership.

On average, the four Farm Fresh coaches have lasted just two tournaments in charge, as Jerry Yee helmed the team for three conferences, Shota Sato for two, Benson Bocboc for one in an interim capacity, and Lodi for two, including the PVL on Tour preseason tilt earlier this year.
