EYA Laure walked away from her long-awaited PVL return with no regrets.
The prized Choco Mucho winger saw her debut conference end in heartbreak after a tight five-set loss to Akari in the play-ins on Saturday, but for Laure, the bigger picture goes far beyond the result.
It took 656 days before she could even step back on a PVL court, having to wait out her non-compete clause following her exit from Chery Tiggo.

And when that moment finally came, Laure made sure to embrace every bit of it.
“Marami-rami pang dapat matutunan, I would say. Naging patient lang talaga ako sa sarili ko kasi unang conference pa lang din and mahaba-haba pa ‘yung pagsasamahan namin,” Laure said.
“Nandyan din naman ‘yung coaches at teammates ko para trabahuin namin ‘to nang sama-sama.”
Thrown straight into a high-pressure campaign, Laure showed flashes of her old form, including a 20-point outing in their final game, but she knows there’s still plenty of work ahead to extract the maximum out of Choco Mucho’s style of play.
“Wala namang [panghihinayang] kasi I think that's all part of growing talaga sa sport na ‘to. Lahat talaga ‘to, ako personally, gusto ko i-absorb, pangit man o maganda para malaman ko rin kung paano ‘yung paraan kahit mahirap to learn more lalo na sa system ni Coach Dante,” she said.
“Being part of the team, being part of Rebisco, worth it lahat.”

Despite the early exit, Laure remains firm in her decision to join the Flying Titans, with no time to dwell either.
Even after bowing out earlier than expected, Choco Mucho is already shifting its focus forward, with recovery and preparation for the next conference at the top of the list.
“Lahat kami nag-self-reflect and siyempre, marami ring malungkot. Makikita rin naman na everyone's looking forward agad sa next conference. Ipa-prioritize talaga muna namin is mag-recover,” Laure said.
