FOR months, Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses had been talking about the same concern, citing how in the middle of the Cool Smashers' continued success, they also weren't getting any younger.
Now, Creamline may have finally found the young winger it has been searching for in former Cignal standout Ishie Lalongisip.

The 24-year-old spiker officially joins the league's most successful franchise, giving Creamline another athletic scorer while injecting much-needed young blood into a roster Meneses himself recently acknowledged was rapidly aging.
Lalongisip became just the seventh player on Creamline's roster born in 2000 or later, a significant addition for a team whose current lineup carries an average age approaching 29 years old.

Her arrival comes just days after Meneses openly discussed the importance of securing younger talents through the PVL Draft, emphasizing the need to identify successors to the veteran core that has powered the franchise to 11 championships.
Instead, one of those reinforcements has arrived even before draft night.
The former Adamson is the seventh former Cignal player to find a new home following the franchise's leave of absence from the PVL, incuding middle blocker Erin Pangilinan, who she will remain teammates with at Creamline.
For Creamline, the acquisition represents more than simply adding another player but also another step toward addressing the challenge of sustaining its success while preparing for the future.
And in Lalongisip, the Cool Smashers may have found a young piece capable of helping them do both.
