NXLED recorded its franchise-best win streak at three by knocking down Galeries Tower, 26-24, 25-23, 25-23, in the 2025 PVL on Tour on Tuesday at the Playtime Filoil Centre.
EJ Laure-Carino posted 16 points on 14 attacks, one block and one ace to lead the historic win for the three-year-old franchise.
Newcomer Jov Fernandez added 14 points ahead of mainstay winger Chiara Permentilla's 13.
Two weeks after scoring twin upsets over Petro Gazz and Choco Mucho, Nxled has now forged a triple-tie for the league lead along with sister clubs PLDT and Cignal.
Nxled and PLDT share the lead on Pool A, with Cignal showing the way in Pool B.
They remain the only teams to have won their first three matches of the preseason tournament.
"Hindi naman namin iniisip (yung 3-0 start) kasi kapag lalo naming iniisip, mas lalo lang sigurong hindi namin mapapakita nang ganito yung laro namin," Laure-Carino said.
"Naalala ko lang yung sabi ko last season na very competitive talaga yung teammates ko sa training, so parang ngayon, nakikita na namin sa loob ng court."
Donny-buff bolsters Chameleons
The Chameleons erased a 4-13 first-set deficit, bolstered by the arrival of their newest superstar fan Donny Pangilinan, and seized control of the match the rest of the way.
Galeries Tower mustered a late 5-1 blitz in Set 2 to cut Nxled’s lead to one at 24-23, only to be negated by a service error from France Ronquillo.
As such, the Highrisers go crashing down in fifth place in Pool A, still without a win at 0-3.
Jewel Encarnacion and rookie Jean Asis paced the loss with 15 and 11 markers, respectively.
