INJURED import Edina Selimovic respects the decision of Motolite to replace her with Krystle Esdelle for the remainder of the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference.

The Bosnian Selimovic admitted she was frustrated with her right knee cap injury after one game with Motolite because this is the second time that she will be replaced due to injury with the other one in 2017 when Pocari Sweat had to replace her after two games due to hamstring injury.

“It was frustrating when they told me how is the situation (going to be),” said Selimovic, who watched and cheered for Motolite on Wednesday in a three-set loss to BanKo at the Arena in San Juan City.

But the 6-foot-1 middle blocker, whole-heartedly, accepted the decision of Motolite that it needs to win and it couldn’t wait for her to recover and play with lone import Channon Thompson, especially that reigning MVP Myla Pablo is also nursing a back injury.

“This is just the best decision for the team. I agree with the management,” Selimovic said. “So I don’t think it’s not much frustrating for me. I think it’s a good decision.

“The team needs to win so they have to play with another import and not let themselves lose,” she added.

However, Motolite suffered the same result with Esdelle debuting with 12 points. The expansion team stayed winless in three games despite the gallant stand in each sets.

The Air Padda-coached team seeks to change its fate in its back-to-back matches over the weekend facing defending champion Creamline (2-1) on Saturday and fellow cellar dweller BaliPure (0-3) on Sunday.

The 28-year-old Selimovic is just glad that she only suffered a minor injury and she hopes the best for Motolite.

“It’s good. I just had a little strain and it will be healed in two weeks so I’ll be fine,” she said.

Selimovic is planning to come home to her family at Bosnia to rest but her flight is still uncertain and she also has a club league to play in September, which she didn’t bare.
