ADAMSON defeated College of St. Benilde, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21, to remain unbeaten in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference on Sunday at The Arena in San Juan.
Bernadette Flora had an all-around game of 17 points, 13 digs and 16 excellent receptions to lead the Lady Falcons to their second win in as many games.
Eli Soyud added 17 points while Joy Dacoron was also in double figures with 13 for the Lady Falcons but head coach Air Padda was far from satisfied.
“I mean it’s still ugly, it’s so inconsistent,” said Padda, pointing to issues with plays from hitters, to setter and libero.
“This week we had Joy back but she was not in best connection right now with MJ (Igao), Eli, who normally is one of our stronger, more consistent hitters,” she said.
“Just overall I don’t think MJ had a very good match, she was very inconsistent. She wasn’t putting up hittable balls and it’s just ugly. Our defense, Tang (Ponce) didn’t have a good match, she just seemed off,” she continued.
Klarisa Abriam made 14 points for St. Benilde, while Marites Pablo had 12 Jan Daguil chipped in 11.
The Lady Blazers slid to 0-2.
