Manabat led the Crossovers to their first PVL championship in 2021 before leaving her team of six years just last December.
The former National University standout, who was nursing an ankle injury early in 2022, mostly came off the bench in what turned out to be her last conference with the Crossovers.
Aside from Manabat, Akari has also signed Camille Victoria, an opposite spiker who decided to forego her final playing year of UAAP eligibility with the UST Golden Tigresses to play professionally.
The Power Charger also recently recruited former Petro Gazz libero Bang Pineda and PLDT opposite spiker Eli Soyud.
The addition of veteran players in the young team led by national team coach Jorge Souza de Brito is expected to boost the Power Chargers' campaign in the All-Filipino conference after an 8th place finish in their the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference debut.
