SAVI Davison knew PLDT didn't necessarily fulfill its potential in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
For a team that entered the semifinals as No. 1 seed and two-time champion, the High Speed Hitters had all the tools to go all the way.
Instead, they found themselves settling for a shot at third-place.

“Mahirap talaga kasi capable (kami). We’re super capable of being in the Top 3,” she said. “Our journey isn’t done, but I just wish that we were in the (Top 2).”

Davison did her part in PLDT’s lone win of the semifinals, unloading 21 points and 11 receptions in a non-bearing victory over finals-bound sister team Cignal.
But even that performance could not take away the pain of what could have been.
After a dominant preliminary run, where they lost just once, the High Speed Hitters faltered when it mattered most, dropping their first two semis games to fall out of finals contention.
Savi out to save a podium finish
Still, Davison is not going to let their campaign close on a sour note.
“It’s not over yet and we still have a job to do. (We will) take it one game at a time and finish this season off with a win like we wanted to,” she said.
That mentality now shifts toward the battle for third, where PLDT will face Farm Fresh.

For Davison and the High Speed Hitters, it is no longer about redemption or what could have been. Instead, it’s now about closing strong.
“Unfortunately, it’s not first, but we can still finish off with a win and that’s what we have to keep in mind,” she said.
Because for a squad that started the conference with so much promise, the least they can do now is end it the same way.
