MAKE it three Fil-foreign aces who are bound to represent the Philippines in international play with the forthcoming additions of PLDT's Savi Davison (Canada) and Petro Gazz' MJ Phillips (United States).
With at least two Premier Volleyball League (PVL) conferences already to their name, Phillips and Davison are also in the process of switching federations from the US to the Philippines alongside Brooke Van Sickle, sources bared.

As per an unimpeachable source, the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) is ramping up the process of filing pertinent paperwork before the International Volleyball Federation's (FIVB) annual window for federation switches closes.

Moreover, the PNVF is also in the process of clarifying and ironing out the technicalities with the FIVB to ensure that the proposed federation switches will be completed at the soonest possible time.
That being said, it is certain that neither Davison, Van Sickle nor Phillips will be cleared to represent the country in time for the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Women to be hosted by the Philippines later this month.
The PVL trio's forthcoming plans to join the Philippine national team will be a long-term commitment as mandated by FIVB regulations.

According to the FIVB sporting regulations, changing federations can only be done once.
"A player's Federation of Origin may be changed if the player has not represented the
senior national team of the Federation of Origin; however, it may be changed only
once," FIVB policies state.
But in terms of the specifics in completing such changes for Davison, Phillips and Van Sickle, both the FIVB's general conditions and special cases will be further studied and taken into consideration by the PNVF, the source added.
Hence, as of writing, there is no definite timetable for either of the three players in terms of when they'll be formally cleared to compete for the Philippines in FIVB-sanctioned competitions moving forward.
