CHOCO Mucho’s seventh man has worked wonders for the team through the highs and lows of its six-year run to date: the ‘Ube Nation.’
Up in the conversation as one, or if not, the PVL’s fan-favorite team, the Flying Titans’ legions of supporters have been instrumental in their successes.
Saturday's qualifying-round sweep over Chery Tiggo to reach the quarterfinals for the third time in the last four conferences was no different.

With a huge chunk of the 3,000-strong Philsports Arena crowd cheering them on, such immense fanfare is one Choco Mucho head coach Dante Alinsunurin isn’t ever taking for granted from the day he took on the club’s coaching reins two years ago.
“Alam mo nu’ng umpisa pa lang ‘yan, ‘yun na ‘yung nagustuhan ko sa Choco (Mucho) na ‘yung mga fans nila, kahit down na kami or natatalo, nandyan pa rin yung suporta at ang lakas talaga,” Alinsunurin said.
“Sobrang thankful kami sa ginagawa nilang effort sa amin na mas nabubuhayan kami ‘pag naririnig na namin sila.”
When the club went through various injury spells and personnel problems anew, it’s as if all hope began to fade for Choco Mucho as evidenced by its franchise-worst ninth-place finish in last year’s Reinforced Conference.
Now that they’re starting to pick themselves back up and riding on a seven-game win streak en route to the quarters, Alinsunurin hopes the Choco Mucho faithful will stand by them all the way to the end.
“Sana ‘wag sila magsawang sumuporta kasi ang laking bagay na sa sitwasyon namin ngayon namay mga player kaming nagkakasakit o naiinjury, sila ‘yung talagang tumutulong sa amin para ganahan pa ring maglaro,” he said.
