DECORATED men's volleyball head coach Dante Alinsunurin Jr. will now embark in his first foray in the women's division.
Dante Alinsunurin is new Choco Mucho coach
The multi-titled tactician is set to debut in the Premier Volleyball League as Choco Mucho's head coach in the 2023 season, the Flying Titans announced on Friday.
"The Choco Mucho Flying Titans' organization is pleased to announce the appointment of Dante Alinsunurin Jr. as the team's new Head Coach," said the Flying Titans' management.
"With Coach Dante's experience, commitment and program, we truly believe he will lead our Titans to reach their highest potential as he has done for the other teams he has coached.
Alinsunurin is set to replace Ateneo women's volleyball and former Blue Eagles head coach Oliver Almadro who resigned from his post mid-tournament in the 2022 PVL Reinforced Conference.
As a collegiate coach, Alinsunurin has steered the National University to four UAAP crowns, four Spikers' Turf titles and one V-League championship.
He also led the men's national team to a historic silver medal finish in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
With a decorated career in the men's division, Alinsunurin looks to duplicate his success in his first stint in the women's club as he leads the Flying Titans who have yet to enter the PVL finals.
