PETRO GAZZ Cuban import Wilma Salas nailed a powerful facial that BaliPure’s libero Jewelle Bermillo will never soon forget in Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference action on Wednesday.

Salas delivered the goods for Petro Gazz in the 25-19, 25-12, 25-15 win over BaliPure for its fourth straight win, highlighting her performance with a spike that knocked Bermillo down in the first set.

The impact was so strong the BaliPure libero struggled to stand up and was left in pain the whole frame.

“Sobrang sakit.

Salas raised her hand and apologized to Bermillo after the play, but the young libero admitted she was too dizzy to notice.

The second year San Sebastian Lady Stag wanted a timeout but head coach Rommel Abella didn’t call one, leaving the lone libero of the team on the court.

So kailangan ko ulit mag-recover kasi kailangan ako ng team,” she said.

The Cuban import once again apologized in the post-game interview insisting that she is all business on the court.

“I’m sorry for that. I tried (to avoid hitting anyone. but I don’t care (it’s part of the game). Sorry,” the Cuban hitter expressed.

Salas unleashed another strong hit also in the first set that almost hit the face of BaliPure skipper Grazielle Bombita, but she was barely able to avoid it

Bombita agreed that it’s part of the game.

But before the facial, Bermillo already suffered a minor right ankle injury during the warmup and she hurt it again in the second set.

“Natapilok po noong warmup and noong second set so di ko na po siya gaanong nagalaw. Tinape po ng game tapos ngayon okay na,” she said.
