CREAMLINE has tapped American outside hitter Courtney Schwan as its guest import for the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference.

Schwan, 29, last suited up for reigning Major Volleyball League champion Orlando Valkyries before signing for the 10-time PVL champions.

Her international experience playing in countries like Italy, France and Greece, is one the Cool Smashers will be banking on to halt a three-conference title drought after settling for silver in the 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference and back-to-back bronze in the PVL on Tour and Invitational tilts.

Courtney Schwan is Creamline's choice as guest import in the 2025 Reinforced Conference.

She once had a six-season run for one of Italy's premier squads in Aeroitalia SMI Roma Volley Club prior to suiting up for Orlando in her home league.

Shortly before her well-travelled pro career, Schwan began her sporting foray with University of Washington and was named as the US NCAA Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year in 2016.

The 6-foot-2 winger is the first official reinforcement ahead of Creamline’s championship defense in import-laden play this October.

She will also be part of a spiker-heavy rotation that already has Alyssa Valdez and Jema Galanza as its outside hitters and the likes of Michele Gumabao on the opposite wing.

Like Creamline, Courtney Schwan is a proven champion.

Should she be fit again in time for the Reinforced Conference, three-time PVL MVP Tots Carlos will also be another integral piece to strengthen an embattled frontline along with returning Alas Pilipinas captain and playmaker Jia de Guzman.

Former resident import Erica Staunton, a former PVL best outside hitter who led Creamline's Grand Slam win last year, took her act to Spain after her brief comeback in the 2025 AVC Champions League in Manila last April.

She is currently playing for CV Melilla in the Superliga Femenina de Voleibol.
