ANOTHER PVL conference, another Creamline finals appearance.
The Cool Smashers’ ‘drive-for-five’ has reached its final lap after taking down Choco Mucho, 25-19, 25-15, 25-15, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference finals on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
With Choco Mucho moving close to a fourth-set extension at 12-11 in Set 3, Creamline powered through with a 13-4 blitz to set up a championship date with Petro Gazz.

This will be the defending champions’ seventh-straight and 14th overall trip to the finals — the most by any team in the league’s eight-year history.
Creamline’s podium streak has also been extended as the PVL’s winningest team continues to reach the podium in each one of the 17 conferences it has played since the league’s inception in 2017.
When it comes to the ‘Rebisco Clasico,’ it also becomes Creamline’s 17th win in 18 matches over Choco Mucho and fifth in succession.
Next up for the Cool Smashers with the championship up for grabs? Their perennial league rival in the Angels for the fifth time.
Creamline has won three of the last four times it contested the PVL title against Petro Gazz — all in All-Filipino play.
Meanwhile, Choco Mucho has been relegated to the battle for third where it will take on Akari.
Both the finals and the bronze medal series will begin on Tuesday, Apr. 8, still at the Big Dome.
