BACARRA, Ilocos Norte — Creamline eased to its fourth straight victory, dominating winless PLDT, 25-16, 25-12, 25-13, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference on Sunday at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center.
Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado showed the way as the Cool Smashers sustained their unbeaten run and dealt the Power Hitters their fourth loss.
Celine Domingo shone in her first start for Creamline as Jeanette Panaga sat out due to a right ankle sprain sustained in their five set victory over Black Mamba-Army on Thursday.
The Cool Smashers lead the 10-team tournament and stretched their winning streak to 24 matches dating back to Aug. 11, 2019.

Alyssa Valdez leads the way for Creamline anew
Once again, Valdez showed the way for the Cool Smashers with 16 points, all from attacks, while Michelle Gumabao scored four of the team's seven blocks to finish with nine points.
Jema Galanza posted eight markers, 13 digs, and nine excellent receptions, while Morado made 19 excellent sets and added three markers.
Panaga will be out for at least a week, and her absence was ably filled in by Domingo who had six points.
Creamline head coach Tai Bundit was at the venue, but only as a spectator as he watched the action on the bench after having just entered the Laoag bubble on Saturday afternoon.
"Happy happy lang. Yun naman sinabi ni coach Tai. Yun lang naman yung pinaka-importante, maging happy kami sa loob. So yun nga, maganda yung game, medyo lumayo score," said assistant coach Sherwin Meneses, who still called the shots for the team.
"Yung second stringers kailangan din talagang i-break (in). Maganda din naman pinakita nila."
Isa Molde and Shola Alvarez had seven and five attacks, respectively, as PLDT only scored 25 spikes against the 43 of Creamline, and only had one block and zero aces in its fourth straight defeat.
