DEFENDING champion Creamline shook off an opening-set stumble to overpower Galeries Tower, 27-29, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18, and preserve its unbeaten start to the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series at the Playtime Filoil Centre on Saturday.
The Highrisers needed three set points to close out an extended opening frame, but failed to sustain their momentum as the Cool Smashers took the next three sets to improve to 2-0 in the conference.

Tots Carlos showed the way for Creamline with 13 points, while Jema Galanza contributed 12 markers, 12 excellent digs and 11 receptions for back-to-back triple-doubles.
Bernadeth Pons had eight points and 12 digs in her conference debut, behind Alyssa Valdez’ 10 markers as the defending champions leaned on their balanced attack to complete the comeback.
“Medyo slow start kami. Nahirapan kaming mag-execute dahil sa mga basic errors namin, including sa blocking sa right side,” Carlos said.
Creamline responded to its opening-set setback with a sharper performance at the net, finishing with a 71-50 advantage in attack points and a 9-4 edge in blocks.
It also limited Galeries’ opportunities to build on its early breakthrough, gradually taking control of the match.
The Highrisers had their bright spots, with Erika Deloria leading all scorers with 21 points.
However, Galeries struggled to match Creamline’s improved execution in the succeeding sets, dropping its first match altogether after a statement opening-set performance.
