IT’S still pink over purple as Creamline continued its mastery of Choco Mucho with a 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15 routine win in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The victory improved the Cool Smashers’ all-time record against the Flying Titans to 19 wins in 20 meetings, including a seven-game unbeaten run in the Rebisco Clasico.

It also served as a timely bounce-back for Creamline, which rebounded swiftly after absorbing a straight-sets loss to PLDT in its conference opener.

Bernadeth Pons treated the pink side of a 12,600-strong crowd to a triple-double of 19 points, 18 receptions and 13 digs.

By taking care of business against its sister team, the Cool Smashers avoided the unwanted distinction of opening a season 0–2 for the first time in franchise history.

"Masaya kaming nakakuha ng opening win ngayong conference pero hopefully, makuha pa namin 'yung rhythm namin sa mga laro dahil alam naman nating maraming kakabalik lang sa'min," said Creamline head coach Sherwin Meneses.

Before her abrupt fourth-set exit due to groin discomfort, Laure was already at the heart of Choco Mucho’s early resistance against Creamline.

She braved an early Creamline storm in the opening set, spearheading a late rally that turned a six-point deficit into a 25-24 Choco Mucho set point.

That back-to-back scoring surge erased an earlier chance by Bernadeth Pons to close the frame for the Cool Smashers.

Momentum, however, swung back to the pink side when Laure was stuffed on consecutive blocks from Bea de Leon and Jia de Guzman, sealing the opener for Creamline.

The Flying Titans regrouped in the second set, firing a blistering 7-1 start and riding that wave to level the match at one set apiece.

But the surge proved short-lived as Creamline quickly steadied itself, reclaimed control in the third frame and never looked back.

When Laure went down at the 9-4 mark of the fourth set, Creamline’s lead quickly ballooned to nine, paving the way for the champions’ 19th Rebisco Clasico victory.

Pangs Panaga powered the win with a 12-point outing built on five attacks, four blocks, and three aces including the attack that pushed Creamline to match point.

Tots Carlos delivered the finishing blow to cap an all-around night of 11 points and 10 digs, while Jema Galanza matched her with 11 markers and 15 receptions.

In her first Rebisco Clasico back, de Guzman masterfully ran the offense, tallying 20 excellent sets and adding eight points of her own.

Titans take the fall

Laure had already secured a triple-double before leaving the contest, posting 19 points, 13 receptions, and 10 digs.

Sisi Rondina chipped in 15 points and 14 receptions, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Creamline’s depth and composure.

Sophomore middle blocker Lorraine Pecana impressed with 10 points and five blocks, while libero Thang Ponce anchored the back row with a staggering 26 digs that still fell short of repelling the Cool Smashers’ balanced attack.
